Job Title: Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Senior Manager

Job Responsibilities:
A career in the Financial Services Tax practice within Corporate Tax services provides the opportunity to assist clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the tax impact on their business. Responsibilities include advising clients on local and overseas tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant for business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. The role involves helping organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and providing advice on the tax implications of deals. The team supports Financial Services clients in navigating the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment, which includes stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. The Senior Manager will assist clients with tax structuring and address the challenges of the continuously changing tax world, both locally and globally.

As a Senior Manager, the role requires working as part of a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues from strategy to execution. Key responsibilities include:
- Encouraging team members to have a voice and inviting opinions from all, including quieter members.
- Effectively dealing with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations.
- Initiating open and candid coaching conversations at all levels.

Additional responsibilities include leading as technology-enabled tax advisors by providing value through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies. This involves equipping professionals to succeed in a fast-paced and complex transaction environment, requiring a deeper level of sophistication. The Senior Manager will leverage the company's unparalleled technical knowledge, specialization, and industry insights to solve clients' needs.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

Preferred Qualifications:
- Intimate knowledge of tax compliance methods and strategy consulting for Real Estate Investment Trusts and Real Estate Partnerships.
- Considerable knowledge of partnership structures and their impact on real estate transactions and corresponding tax liabilities.
- Considerable knowledge of accounting for Unrelated Business Taxable Income.
- Comprehensive technical skills in providing full services to real estate owners, developers, and investors, including publicly traded REITs, institutional real estate funds managed by financial institutions, and privately held real estate entities.
- Considerable experience in identifying and addressing client needs, building and maintaining client relationships, managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections.
- Experience supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust, seeking diverse views, and coaching staff with meaningful feedback.
- Demonstrated success as a tax technical business advisor, developing new relationships, and selling new services with a "One Firm" service mindset.
- Familiarity with a CRM system is preferred.
- Knowledge of automation and digitization, leading by example in a professional services environment.
- Innovating through new and existing technologies, working with large data sets, and utilizing digitization tools to optimize engagements.
- Advancing pricing strategy through pricing tools and influencing a shift to alternative fee arrangements.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $119,300 - $328,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
