Job Title: Pre-Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Pre-Litigation Paralegal is responsible for investigating and researching facts and preparing documents to support their assigned attorney. The primary responsibilities include accurate case management and timely communication with clients and attorneys. The essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Case Management:
- Obtain, review, and organize medical records.
- Conduct insurance coverage investigations.
- Prepare, calculate, and maintain damage summaries, including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage.
- Log daily mail and manage correspondence necessary for case management.
- Prepare and forward medical records to insurance carriers.
- Balance verifications and assist with subrogation lien resolution.
- Prepare check requests, maintain check records, and mail checks.
- Assist attorneys with settlement documentation and disbursements.
- Prepare disbursement summaries.
- Prepare files for litigation transfer when necessary.
Communication:
- Maintain consistent and regular communication with clients regarding case status.
- Provide weekly reports and participate in monthly team meetings.
- Provide support for other team members in their absence.
- Meet or exceed established goals.
- Ensure regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.

Education and Experience Information:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Three to five years of relevant work experience is required.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
