Job Title: Tax Senior Manager - Global Information Reporting
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior Manager within the Financial Markets Business Advisory services, the role involves contributing to a variety of audit, regulatory, valuation, and financial analyses services. The primary focus is to design solutions addressing clients' complex accounting and financial reporting challenges, along with broader business issues. Specific responsibilities include:
- Leading staff in the preparation and filing of information returns.
- Developing innovative technology solutions aimed at enhancing compliance efficiency.
- Providing guidance to clients regarding compliance with complex global tax information reporting and withholding rules.
- Maintaining operational excellence and ensuring top-tier client interaction.
- Leveraging influence and proficiency to deliver quality results consistently.
- Guiding teams in the development of practical tax compliance solutions.
- Overseeing the implementation of compliance strategies tailored for clients.
- Encouraging team members to voice opinions and inviting input from all, including quieter members.
- Effectively dealing with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations.
- Initiating open and candid coaching conversations at all levels.
- Moving seamlessly between big picture thinking and managing relevant details.
- Anticipating stakeholder needs and developing potential solutions proactively.
- Contributing technical knowledge in the area of specialism.
- Navigating the complexities of cross-border and/or diverse teams and engagements.
- Initiating and leading open conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders to build trust.
- Upholding the company's code of ethics and business conduct.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience is necessary.
- Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification, be an Enrolled Agent, or an Active Member of the Bar.
- Preferred qualifications include a degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Taxation, Management Information Systems & Accounting.
- Experience in providing guidance on global tax information reporting compliance.
- Proficiency in researching complex tax issues to derive client conclusions.
- Experience in reviewing US IRS tax forms and related documentary evidence.
- Demonstrated ability in leading staff in the preparation and filing of information returns.
- Experience in developing innovative technology solutions for compliance efficiency.
- Experience in creating educational resources for reporting and withholding requirements.
- Proficiency in training and managing local staff.
- Comprehensive understanding of US tax rules and requirements.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $124,000 to $335,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is specific to roles based in Maryland. Actual compensation within this range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
