About the Law Firm Summer Associate Program:
- Principal source of new, full-time associates
- National recruitment
- Program has been in place since the mid 1970’s
- Firm leaders (including members of Management Committee and Practice Group Chairs) are alumni of the program
Program Details:
- Summer associates immediately become a member of the team
- Provided with tools and resources needed to succeed as an attorney
- One-on-one mentoring
- Direct substantive reviews from assigning attorneys
- Reader to review and evaluate projects
- Feedback at midpoint of summer from reader and senior attorney
- Encouraged to attend practice group meetings and visit clients’ facilities
- Opportunity to do real work for real clients
