Job Title: Associate Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all aspects of business immigration law.
- Maintain a high level of communication with all clients to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Oversee and manage a team of legal assistants, including Immigration Assistants and Paralegals, in the preparation and filing of immigration casework.
- Assign and prioritize casework and projects as needed to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Train Immigration Assistants and Paralegals to enhance their skills and ensure consistency in case preparation.
- Establish and maintain casework quality and consistency throughout the office.
- Liaise with other attorneys in the law firm to share information regarding case preparation and developments.
- Maintain accuracy in managing a high-volume, rapid-turnover caseload.
- Participate in other office projects as assigned by senior management.
- Correspond with clients and individual employees during the intake process to gather necessary information and documents.
- Assist clients and employees with technical issues in completing questionnaires and submitting documents.
- Guide clients and employees through the intake process, enlisting client services as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
- Typically requires at least 1+ year(s) of experience as a practicing corporate immigration attorney.
- Must possess a . degree and be licensed to practice law in the .
- Excellent English writing and oral communication skills are essential, with secondary language skills considered a plus.
- Strong organizational and computer skills are required to manage casework effectively.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
- Capable of stooping, kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching daily for various tasks.
- Able to perform general office administrative activities such as copying, filing, delivering documents, and using the telephone.
- Occasionally required to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Regular and on-time attendance is expected.
- Must be able to prioritize, schedule, and complete testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules.
- A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required to adapt to changing situations.
- Hours may exceed 40 hours per week, depending on workload and deadlines.
- Occasional travel by conventional means, including aircraft and motor vehicles, may be required within the region and to other locations.
