Law clerks play a crucial role in preparing draft opinions for cases, which form the foundation for lawyers and judges. They also assist in preparing for cases and examining legal documents such as petitions, legal complaints, and affidavits.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the Law Clerk position, candidates must be current law students or recent law school graduates. The position is open to students from any accredited law school. The organization invites candidates to apply for either a paid clerkship or an unpaid externship. Clerkships are paid positions and are not eligible for school credit, whereas externships are unpaid and may be eligible for school credit, subject to verification with the candidate's college or university's internship coordinator.

Salary Information:
The Law Clerk position offers a part-time hourly rate that varies depending on the candidate's year in law school. First-year law students earn $26 per hour, second-year law students earn $28 per hour, and third-year law students or recent graduates earn $30 per hour.
