Job Responsibilities:
The Firm Administrator will work closely with the Managing Principal and the firm’s management committees to oversee the operations and administration of the law firm. Key responsibilities include:
- Overall management of the firm’s day-to-day operations.
- Human Resources management and benefits administration.
- Coordination with the firm Controller regarding budget and payroll.
- Management of facilities and furnishings.
- Oversight of insurance policies.
- Promoting teamwork and collegiality within the firm.
- Ensuring an appreciation for diversity and individuality among the firm’s employees.
- Maintaining confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment at all times.
- Exercising strong leadership skills with proven success in conflict resolution and consensus building.
- Analyzing complex issues in human resources, facilities, and general operations, and recommending and implementing solutions.
- Demonstrating solid planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
- Utilizing proficiency with Microsoft Office and other programs associated with firm administration.
Education and Experience:
Candidates for the Firm Administrator position are required to have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a senior management position, preferably within a law firm.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Firm Administrator position is $150,000 – $210,000, plus an annual discretionary bonus.
