Job Title: Legal CPS Regional Attorney III

Job Responsibilities:
The Legal CPS Regional Attorney III is tasked with providing direct representation in court for Child Protective Services (CPS) in legal cases. This role requires expertise in family law, civil litigation, and agency policy. Key responsibilities include:

- Advising staff on legal matters and interpreting laws, regulations, and policies.
- Providing agency representation in court cases.
- Preparing cases for trial and handling the trial on most cases.
- Offering legal training to agency staff and the legal community.
- Coordinating specialized legal efforts with appropriate experts.
- Preparing or supervising the preparation of legal opinions, briefs, legal pleadings, and reports.
- Formulating, establishing, and coordinating office systems.
- Promoting, monitoring, and ensuring respect for cultural diversity.
- Attending work regularly in accordance with agency leave policy.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, maintaining good standing with the State Bar of Texas. Professional experience in Family Law, Child Welfare Law, or related practice areas is required.

Salary Information:
The salary range for the Legal CPS Regional Attorney III position is between $6, and $10,.

Additional Information:
The position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and requires full-time commitment. It involves up to 35% travel and is not eligible for telework.
