Job Title: Remote USCIS Case Assistant VA
Job Responsibilities:
- Client Intake & Documentation Collection: Responsible for gathering necessary documentation from clients and ensuring all required information is collected for case processing.
- Form Preparation & Filing: Prepare and file various forms and applications related to immigration cases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Communication with Clients: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on their case status, answer questions, and provide support throughout the process.
- Liaison with Government Agencies (USCIS): Act as a point of contact between clients and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to facilitate communication and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Review & Maintain Case Files: Regularly review case files to ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date, and maintain organized records for each case.
- Legal Research & Assistance: Conduct legal research to support case preparation and provide assistance to the legal team as needed.
- Prepare for AOS Interview & Hearing: Assist in preparing clients for Adjustment of Status (AOS) interviews and hearings, ensuring they understand the process and requirements.
- Handle RFEs (Requests for Evidence): Manage and respond to Requests for Evidence from USCIS, gathering additional documentation and information as necessary.
- Prepare for AOS Denial & Appeals (If Applicable): In the event of an AOS denial, assist in preparing and filing appeals, working closely with the legal team to develop a strategy.
- Work with Other Legal Professionals: Collaborate with other legal professionals within the department to ensure comprehensive case management and support.
- Post-Filing Support (EAD, Advance Parole): Provide support for post-filing processes, such as Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and Advance Parole applications.
- Case Closure: Ensure all necessary steps are completed for case closure, including final documentation and client communication.
Education and Experience Information:
