Law Firm Seeks Legal Assistant for Environmental Law and Permitting Department
Job Summary:
**Members Only** is seeking a highly organized and experienced legal assistant to join our environmental law and permitting department. This position will support our attorneys in case management, research, and client communication. The ideal candidate will have experience in permitting, land use planning, or construction project management, as well as excellent communication and computer skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on permitting regulations, land use planning, and environmental laws.
- Assist attorneys with case management and preparation of legal documents.
- Communicate with clients and public agencies on behalf of attorneys.
- Maintain and organize case files and documents.
- Utilize databases and web-based resources for research purposes.
- Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff to achieve department goals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in permitting research, land use planning, real estate, or construction project management.
- Proficient in database management and web-based research.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Salary Information:
- Competitive salary range of $55,000 to $70,000 annually, based on experience.
