Job Title: Employee Relations Partner, Workplace Concerns (Fixed-Term Contract)
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and resolve employee concerns related to performance, promotion, pay processes, or potential violations of company standards of conduct to ensure fair treatment of all employees.
- Conduct thorough intakes with employees, maintaining care and empathy while keeping the employee experience in mind.
- Identify the policies implicated in workplace concerns and engage appropriate partners to gather necessary information for timely resolution.
- Support investigations of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
- Utilize best practice Employee Relations interview techniques to gather pertinent information and synthesize it using credibility factors.
- Partner with Employee Relations investigators and support partner investigations, which may include note-taking, advising, and drafting and delivering discipline.
- Collaborate across teams, regions, and time zones to resolve matters as appropriate using empathetic listening and conflict resolution skills.
- Communicate clear guidance and coaching to employees, People Operations partners, and management, influencing as necessary.
- Draft summaries and recommendations to document and resolve complex issues and provide advice as necessary.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience gained in either an HR Business Partner role, Employee Relations role, or equivalent experience as an employment attorney practicing employment law, workplace investigator, or similar roles interpreting policies and applying legal advice.
- Experience consulting directly with employees and management.
- Preferred qualifications include a JD degree with a focus on employment law.
- Experience advising on a wide range of employee relations issues, including reorganizations and performance issues.
- Ability to establish strong cross-functional relationships at all levels and geographies.
- Ability to listen, convey opinions and recommendations both in speaking and writing.
- Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize and analyze data.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage global projects.
Salary Information:
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$201,000.
- Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
- Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
