Job Overview:
A Miami-based law firm is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Labor & Employment Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of experience handling diverse employment matters. The ideal candidate will bring litigation proficiency, familiarity with key employment statutes, and a strong foundation in workplace training and HR counseling. Duties:

  • Represent clients in litigation related to employment laws, including matters under:

    • Title VII

    • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

    • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

    • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

    • State-level employment regulations

  • Conduct workplace investigations and provide strategic advice on personnel decisions

  • Deliver workplace training and compliance programs for employers

  • Advocate for clients before federal and state agencies such as the:

    • Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)

    • . Department of Labor (DOL)

    • Other relevant administrative bodies

  • Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and motions in federal and state court

  • Collaborate with colleagues on complex legal matters and share best practices

  • Maintain awareness of legal developments in employment law and labor relations

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of substantive experience in employment litigation and client counseling

  • Demonstrated experience managing cases in both federal and state courts

  • Prior representation of clients before administrative agencies (EEOC, DOL, etc.)

  • Strong legal research and analytical writing skills

  • Confidence in handling multiple assignments with competing deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal and client communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited . law school

Certifications:

  • Active member of the Florida Bar (required)

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of federal and Florida-specific employment statutes and regulations

  • Practical experience delivering preventative legal counsel to employers

  • Proficiency with legal drafting, litigation strategy, and oral advocacy

  • High attention to detail and organizational abilities

  • Strong client service and professional judgment

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team structure
