A well-established law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its Miami office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law counseling and litigation, preferably from a management-side perspective. This role offers the opportunity to engage in meaningful client work, collaborate closely with senior attorneys, and grow within a supportive and high-performing legal team.

Duties

  • Advise clients on a wide range of employment matters, including compliance and workplace policies

  • Represent employers in litigation, including drafting motions, handling discovery, and participating in depositions

  • Support matters involving employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage & hour claims

  • Collaborate with firm shareholders and colleagues on case strategy and client development

  • Participate in business development and client-facing initiatives

  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of employment law experience, preferably from a management-side law firm

  • Solid litigation experience, including motion practice and discovery

  • Experience taking or defending depositions preferred

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Admission in Florida and in good standing (or planning to sit for the July 2025 or February 2026 Florida Bar exam)

  • Candidates outside Florida must also be admitted in the state of their preferred office (IL, NY, DC, CA, or TX)

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited . law school

  • Strong academic performance required

Certifications

  • Admitted to the Florida Bar or eligible and registered to sit for an upcoming Florida Bar exam

  • Dual admission required for those applying to out-of-state offices

Skills

  • Strong legal writing and litigation strategy capabilities

  • Excellent research and case management skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

  • Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented work style

  • Comfort with both independent work and team collaboration
