Job Title:
Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive paralegal and legal administrative support to the department to serve clients effectively.
- Assist and provide timely, accurate, and efficient support to lawyers and other staff in the legal department, including the preparation and/or revisions of legal pleadings, memos, correspondence, easements, contracts, and other documents.
- Collaborate and support the team with major projects and complex litigation, including tracking and scheduling deliverables, participating in the discovery process, facilitating information requests and interrogatories, and ensuring matters are correctly documented in matter management systems such as TeamConnect.
- Coordinate and manage external counsel, consultant, and contractor deliverables as well as access to various platforms necessary to perform functions.
- Arrange attorneys’ schedules, travel, meetings, appointments, and events, including visitors to the legal department.
- Support and coordinate with other legal support staff the preparation of timesheets and expense reports, processing of invoices, and provide other accurate and timely data in various automated systems.
- Create and manage workflows for document management (regulatory, litigation, and corporate reporting) and team-specific sites and folders for ease of access, collaboration, and team sharing on SharePoint.
- Assist with hearing preparation (including exhibit and witness preparation) and attend public meetings and hearings as needed.
- Prepare, revise, and distribute legal and corporate communications as required.
- Actively participate in a legal support collaboration team.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum 3-5 years of directly related experience and a member of a recognized Paralegal Association or State Bar.
- Experience with a data management system and as a SharePoint Administrator.
- Solid working understanding of MS Suite programs, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to internal management systems.
- Preferred: An associate’s degree.
- Preferred: Prior experience in a law firm or energy sector legal setting.
- Preferred: Knowledge of legal terminology and the energy field.
- Preferred: Relativity and/or MS Purview experience is an asset.

Salary Information:
- Salary ranges from $54,600 to $80,000 based upon experience.

Additional Information:
- This is a non-union position.
- The role is hybrid, with remote and office work in Edina, MN, or Houston, TX.
- Working conditions include flexible work programs such as variable daily schedules and the option to work from home on designated days.
- Physical requirements include grasping, kneeling, light to moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirements, and the ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
- Mental requirements include the ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, and make decisions with moderate impact.
