Salary Information:
- Salary range for this position is $47, to $70, for Schedule A, and $47, to $67, for Schedule B.
- New hires will start at the minimum of the salary range.
- Current Judiciary employees will receive a 5% increase upon promotion or advancement, not to exceed the maximum of the range or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.
- Newly hired individuals and Judiciary employees hired on or after August 21, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

Responsibilities:
- Conforming judge's orders and maintaining the workflow in/out of judicial chambers
- Communicating the judge's schedule with division administration and case management personnel
- Preparing and submitting local and state reports
- Managing incoming and outgoing communications including mail, telephone, case conference calls
- Scheduling and moderating court events remotely utilizing various platforms such as Zoom and Teams
- Procuring supplies, equipment, and inventory for chambers
- Formatting and typing judicial opinions and other legal documents
- Composing routine and non-routine correspondence
- Answering inquiries from the public
- Filing records and serving as a liaison between the judge and the case management and operating divisions

Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience in an office environment
- Strong technical, computer, and administrative skills
- Attention-to-detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Successful completion of a clerical training program with a minimum of 700 classroom training hours or 30 semester hour credits in secretarial science may be substituted for one (1) year of experience
- Typing skills of at least 40 words per minute or possess proof of having taken the required skills test
- Knowledge of legal terminology and working knowledge of Microsoft Office is helpful

Supplemental Information:
- Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
- Authorization to Work: Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
- Special Note: Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting.
- Residency Law: All persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
