Job Title: Senior Tax Manager, Financial Services (Corporation/ASC 740)
Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Tax Manager within the Financial Institutions Tax practice, the candidate will be granted the opportunity to engage in several key responsibilities, which include:
- Preparing and reviewing corporate income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
- Reviewing and/or preparing corporate tax returns.
- Conducting tax research and providing guidance and consultation to clients.
- Identifying and implementing tax planning and tax savings strategies.
- Collaborating and engaging in large projects.
- Managing and fostering existing client tax relationships through client deliverables and a hands-on consultative approach.
- Mentoring and developing interns, staff, and senior staff while promoting a highly interactive team environment.
- Managing multiple engagements simultaneously.
Education and Experience Information:
The position requires specific qualifications and experience, including:
- Previous experience with corporation taxation, tax provision experience, and ASC 740 (FAS 109) is required.
- Previous banking experience is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, while a Master of Taxation is preferred.
- Holding a CPA, JD, or EA is required.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in public accounting or a corporate/public blend, especially from a large CPA firm.
- Ability to grow strong client relationships.
- Preference for hybrid work; open to remote work as well.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent project management and time management skills.
- Proficiency in tax research skills.
Salary Information:
The compensation for this role is influenced by various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The wage range is $106, - $267, per year. It is noted that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions are based on the facts and circumstances of each case.
