**Job Title:** Fall Internship Program - Juvenile Criminal Division

**Job Responsibilities:**
The Fall Internship Program in the Juvenile Criminal Division offers law students a comprehensive opportunity to engage with the legal system in a hands-on setting. Interns in this program will:

- Gain practical courtroom experience by observing and participating in motion practice, contested hearings, and trials.
- Assist attorneys with case reviews, investigations, and trial preparation.
- Communicate with witnesses and crime victims regarding ongoing cases.
- Work closely with the legal team to understand the intricacies of juvenile law within the District Courts, County Courts at Law, and Justice Peace Courts in Williamson County, Texas.

Interns will be exposed to the workings of a public prosecutor's office that represents the State of Texas and Williamson County in various legal matters, including criminal law, juvenile law, family law, and civil law.

**Education and Experience Information:**
- Internships are available to law students who are in their second (2L) or third (3L) year, as well as law school post-graduates.
- Preference is given to students eligible for a Temporary Trial Card through the Texas Bar Association.
- Internships are unpaid, and candidates must pass a background check and adhere to other security measures.
- The program is designed to accommodate law students who wish to earn school credit, with adjustments made to meet academic requirements as necessary.

**Deadlines for Application:**
- For summer internships (May - August), applications must be submitted by April 30th.
- For fall internships (August - November), applications must be submitted by July 15th.
- Special circumstances outside these periods may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

**Salary Information:**
- Internships within the program are unpaid.
