Job Title: Collaboration Services Analyst (Temp)
Job Responsibilities:
The Collaboration Services Analyst at the law firm in Washington, . is tasked with providing technical support for meetings and presentations, specifically focusing on collaboration functions within the assigned office(s). The role requires active participation in maintaining and enhancing the timeliness and quality of video and audio support for all customer constituencies. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up, installing, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and visual equipment as well as collaboration technologies, such as Zoom/Cisco Rooms and Teams. This includes setting up equipment for live events like townhall meetings and webinars.
- Operating sound equipment and managing conference room lighting.
- Performing sound checks for video conferences and dry run meetings, resolving any equipment issues that may arise.
- Providing stand-by support for conferences and video conferences.
- Administering room scheduling software to generate reports and ensure that up-to-date requirements are accurately captured.
- Logging AV fault tickets with vendors and liaising through to resolution.
- Keeping inventory of conference room equipment and technology supplies, such as chargers, AC adapters, batteries, and clickers, and ordering supplies as needed.
- Responding to conference room attendee technology requests and troubleshooting problems using standard tools.
- Performing as a second-level technical resource to resolve customer problems and provide technical leadership to other local IS resources.
- Maintaining the operational availability of all technology-related equipment and IS resources, including laptops, desktops, printers, servers, data communication equipment, network infrastructure, telephone equipment, and audio-visual systems.
- Adhering to and maintaining firm-wide and departmental policies, standards, operational guidelines, and administrative procedures related to the IS function.
- Encouraging and promoting teamwork among local, regional, and Global Services IS resources.
- Participating actively as a team member on assigned IS projects.
Education and Experience Information:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of technical/AV support experience. Experience in providing IS support in a legal or professional services environment is preferred, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail, the ability to prioritize multiple projects, and problem-solving while remaining calm. Familiarity with the following is preferred:
- Zoom (including Zoom rooms) and/or MS Teams
- Cisco Video Conferencing equipment
- Audio-visual technologies such as Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron
- Microsoft Office suite of programs (Office 365 preferred but not essential)
Qualifications include the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and clients at all levels under deadline pressure, strong customer service skills, and strong verbal, interpersonal, and team skills. Diplomacy, professionalism, good judgment, and courtesy are essential, whether by phone, in-person, or email. The ability to work overtime as necessary is also required.
Salary Information:
The hourly compensation rate for the Collaboration Services Analyst position is $36-$38 per hour. The salary offered will depend on the candidate's qualifications and other operational considerations. Benefits for this position may include health care and paid sick time.
