Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Administrative Assistant at the law firm is responsible for providing administrative support to a team of attorneys, paralegals, and business support personnel. Key responsibilities include:
- Building relationships with assigned team members.
- Creating and editing documents as well as maintaining e-filing of client/matter related documents.
- Organizing inboxes and filing emails efficiently.
- Performing document comparisons to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Arranging travel and coordinating meeting arrangements.
- Processing expenses and invoices in collaboration with Williams Lea.
- Editing daily time entries for narrative accuracy, including reviewing WIP reports to support clean diary entries according to client guidelines.
- Reconciling temporary time when new matters are opened.
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail.
- Providing additional overflow support to the Boston Administrative Resource Center.
Education and Experience Information:
- A college degree or equivalent is required for this position.
- The candidate must have expert proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills are essential to seamlessly perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
- The role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external lawyers, staff, and clients.
- Expert communication skills are necessary.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and strong decision-making capability is required.
- Experience working in a law firm, professional services organization, or customer service capacity is preferred.
Salary Information:

The anticipated pay range for this role in Washington, DC, is between $63,700 and $92,350. This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
Working Conditions:
This position requires a hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is necessary for ongoing business continuity, professional development, and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
