IP Legal Intern (Biological Sciences)
The intern will work under the supervision of an attorney and attend law school in the evening. Responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and supporting IP due diligences, patent landscape analyses, patent litigations, post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences) and other IP matters in the life sciences related to cutting-edge technologies, such as gene editing, cellular therapies, antibody-based therapeutics, and molecular diagnostics. The position requires an advanced degree (. preferred, or . with several years industry experience) the biological sciences (., Biology, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Immunology, Virology). Must have experience researching, writing and reading scientific publications in a relevant area. Should have excellent written and oral communication skills, superior academic background and a desire for teamwork, significant responsibility and client interaction. Those who have already been accepted to law school (local part-time evening programs only) and/or are registered to practice before the USPTO are strongly preferred.
