Job Title: Law Clerk
Job Responsibilities:
- Case File Management: Assist with opening new case files by preparing letters of representation and personal injury claims. Organize and maintain client files, ensuring compliance with law firm policies and confidentiality standards.
- Settlement and Negotiation Support: Support the settlement confirmation and negotiation process under the direction of the Principal Attorney. Collaborate with clerks in lien negotiations.
- Legal Case Support: Assist in personal injury law, workers compensation, criminal law, immigration, and general law cases. Conduct legal research, prepare case-related documents, and support case progression.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all tasks and documents comply with relevant laws, regulations, and law firm policies. Review and organize legal documents for accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- General Legal Assistance: Provide additional legal assistance and administrative support as needed by the Principal Attorney.
Education and Experience:
- Required Education: Completion of at least one year of law school (minimum equivalent of 24 semester hours). Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Professional Experience / Qualifications: Strong research, writing, and communication skills. Good organizational and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
