Associate Attorney Family Law: California Bay Area

Modern Family Law, a boutique law firm in the Bay Area, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Associate Attorney to join their team. This is a remote-first position with the opportunity to handle diverse family law cases and make a meaningful impact on clients' lives. Position Summary:

The Associate Attorney will handle a variety of family law cases, represent clients in court, conduct legal research, and collaborate with team members to provide exceptional client service. This is a great opportunity to work on impactful cases in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Handle diverse family law cases, including divorce, custody, support, and property division matters.
- Represent clients in court and make all necessary in-court appearances.
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Meet with clients and provide timely legal advice and updates on case status.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective handling of cases.
- Attend mediation and settlement conferences to negotiate favorable outcomes.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients throughout the legal process.
- Stay up to date with legal developments and trends in family law.

Position Requirements:

- Ability to work remotely with a reliable internet connection.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in family law.
- Active admission to the California State Bar.
- Exceptional writing skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Client-focused mindset.
- Strong references attesting to expertise and professionalism.

Skills and Competencies:

- Professional communication skills with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel.
- Ability to handle a variety of family law matters.
- Proven ability to balance multiple cases and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and legal deadlines.
- High attention to detail and proactive approach to resolving client issues.
- Ability to work under pressure, especially during trial preparation.
- Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
- Willingness to work evenings or weekends when necessary.

- Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 annually + commission structure.
