Job Title: Technology Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with legal teams to provide technical insights and analysis for patent cases involving complex technologies, often involving semiconductors and software.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of semiconductor and software technologies.
- Assist in drafting technical documents and reports to support legal proceedings.
- Guide and collaborate with patent litigation lawyers on technical and scientific issues pertinent to legal proceedings.
- Participate in discovery processes, including reviewing technical documents and data.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. An advanced degree in a relevant technology or engineering discipline is a plus.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the technology industry, preferably in semiconductors or a related or adjacent field. Candidates with a relevant advanced degree may qualify with less industry experience.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex technical concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a technology company.
- Familiarity with patent processes and legal analysis related to technology cases.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Salary Information:
The expected salary range for this position is $150,000-$200,000, although the salary offered will depend upon an applicant’s qualifications and experience. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by the law firm and individual performance.
