Paralegal / Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Preparing and processing correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents in complex litigation. Preparing and processing correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents for labor arbitration hearings and administrative agencies including the National Labor Relations Board. Maintaining calendars and files, including organizing and electronic scanning of files. Preparing time entries and expense reimbursements and handling other general administrative duties such as mail responsibilities, inventory checks, and office supply orders. Organizing discovery files and preparing exhibits for depositions and trials. Working overtime when workload requires, sometimes upon short notice.

Qualifications: Should have 2 years of paralegal experience. Must have 2 years of experience with state and federal court filings (proficiency with PACER/ECF filings is a must). Experience in high-volume law practice. Experience in the areas of traditional labor law and labor arbitrations is a plus. Knowledge of legal terminology, legal documents, and legal processes. Knowledge of legal deadline calculations and calendaring. Exceptional organizational skills. Extreme attention to detail. Familiarity with and interest in this type of work is greatly valued. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro skills. Proficiency in preparing components of filings (table of contents, authorities, declarations, statement of undisputed facts).
