Paralegal - Family Law The candidate will be drafting, pleadings such as Complaints for Divorce, Answers, Motions, Responses, Leaves of Absences, Conflict Notices, Rule Nisi, Settlement Agreements, Parenting Plans, Child Support Worksheets, Orders, Final Judgments and post-judgment duties such as Quitclaim Deeds and Income Deduction Orders. Organizing and completing service of process. Submitting documents to the court (e-file, email, arranging for hand delivery), effecting service to other parties and indexing documents in the case file. Engaging in the Discovery process, such as drafting discovery requests and responses, and speaking with clients to obtain responsive documents. Maintaining the attorney(s)'s case files, both electronic and paper. Maintaining the attorney(s)'s calendar (calendaring court appearances, trials, conferences, depositions, mediations, and all court deadlines. Assisting and interacting with clients. Analyzing and helping clients complete DRFAs as well as discovery responses. Helping create child support worksheets. Should have 2+ years of recent experience in Family Law. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Experience with the Metro Atlanta court systems, procedures and court staff. Experienced with Georgia's efiling systems and processes.
