Sr. Contracts Manager - Brokerage & Capital Markets

Job Responsibilities
The Sr. Contracts Manager is tasked with joining the legal team to provide transactional legal support for the company's Brokerage and Capital Markets, Valuation & Advisory, Consulting, and Incentives business. Reporting to the Vice President, Legal – Brokerage, Capital Markets & Procurement, this role involves drafting, negotiating, and managing a high volume of brokerage and real estate service contracts across the United States. Key responsibilities include:

- Analyzing, drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial real estate contracts and related documents for the . business in areas such as tenant representation, agency leasing, capital markets, valuation & advisory, consulting, and incentives. The goal is to ensure that contract terms align with business objectives, policies, laws, and regulations.
- Identifying and mitigating risks in commission agreements, agency agreements, engagement letters, and other real estate contracts.
- Driving operational improvements and best practices for contract workflows and efficient contract handling.
- Monitoring legal, regulatory, and internal policy changes, updating attorneys and contract templates as needed to ensure compliance with laws, corporate directives, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborating with team attorneys to share best practices and align and document negotiation and risk management strategies.
- Advising internal clients with respect to policies and contracts.
- Supporting attorneys with the development and updating of training materials, performing research and analysis, and undertaking other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information
- A Bachelor's degree in business, law, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in independently negotiating and managing processes for complex commercial contracts is required.
- A strong understanding of commercial contracts is necessary, with experience in negotiating commercial real estate contracts being preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are a must, with an approach to tasks that includes innovative thinking, flexibility, and drive.
- The ability to multitask and successfully manage competing priorities is essential.
- Expertise in managing contract lifecycles and related systems, as well as proficiency in all aspects of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), is required.
- Demonstrated ability and drive to work independently and cross-functionally under time-sensitive deadlines, delivering quality work products in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment is necessary.
- The role will be hybrid in offices where legal members are present (Dallas-area, DC, NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles/Irvine, Boston-area), otherwise, it will be remote.

The compensation offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors like whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is between $93, and $110,.
