Job Title: Insurance Coverage Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
The Insurance Coverage Attorney is required to independently manage a full caseload and demonstrate excellent verbal, research, and writing skills. The key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing insurance policies and drafting opinions under personal and commercial liability policies.
- Preparing and responding to tenders.
- Managing a caseload effectively.
- Meeting and collaborating with clients.
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and other discovery items in declaratory judgment actions.
- Handling all aspects of litigation and trial.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience representing clients in insurance coverage matters and disputes, including drafting coverage opinions and engaging in litigation.
- Admission to practice law in New York State, maintaining good standing.
- Admission to practice law in New York State federal courts, with familiarity in federal court practice.
- Specific experience with New York State labor law claims, construction litigation, and related insurance issues under commercial general liability policies.
