Salary:

Job Duties:
- Responsible for all phases of litigation, including investigation, preparation and filing of legal documents, client consultations, witness interviews, appearances for hearings and conferences, and settlement negotiations
- Manages a large caseload and delivers legal services efficiently
- Maintains and improves legal skills through attending seminars and conferences and staying updated on recent case law and statutes
- Supervises work of law clerks, analysts, and investigators as needed
- Maintains positive relationships with peers, co-workers, outside agencies, and the public
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Admitted to the Indiana Bar
- At least 2 years of litigation experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong oral advocacy skills in administrative hearings and court
- Proficient in legal research and writing
- Ability to manage a large caseload and multi-task effectively
- Ability to advocate for the state in all aspects of a case

The Office of the Attorney General is seeking a Deputy Attorney General for their Consumer Protection Division's Licensing Enforcement team. This position offers a hybrid work model with the possibility of working remotely two days per week. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of litigation experience and be admitted to the Indiana Bar.
As a Deputy Attorney General, you will be responsible for all phases of litigation, including conducting investigations, preparing and filing legal documents, conducting client consultations, and representing the state in hearings and conferences. You will also be responsible for managing a large caseload and delivering legal services efficiently. This position requires strong communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to multi-task effectively.
In addition to legal responsibilities, the Deputy Attorney General will also be responsible for supervising the work of law clerks, analysts, and investigators as needed. It is important for the candidate to maintain positive relationships with peers, co-workers, outside agencies, and the public. The ability to work well with others and be a self-starter is crucial for success in this role.
