Job Responsibilities:
The Paralegal Assistant - Data Clerk at the law firm is responsible for providing support to attorneys and paralegals by managing data integrity and organizing case files. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing, organizing, storing, and analyzing incoming data efficiently, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon security standards.
- Reviewing data for inconsistencies or anomalies to ensure accurate analytical results.
- Maintaining databases and ensuring data is up-to-date and accessible.
- Communicating with team members about data changes and requirements.
- Downloading and saving documents into NetDocs.
- Assisting with other tasks as assigned.
- Meeting a billable requirement of 1000 hours annually.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Paralegal Assistant - Data Clerk position are expected to possess the following qualifications:
- Required experience includes data input.
- Preferred experience includes asbestos-related work and 1-2 years of experience in litigation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is essential.
- Experience with electronic court filings is beneficial.
- Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to prioritize workflow and manage time effectively.
Salary Information:
The compensation for the Paralegal Assistant - Data Clerk varies based on skills, experience, location, and other legal factors. The expected salary ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:
- State of California: $57,000 - $79,000
- State of Colorado: $49,000 - $68,000
- State of Illinois: $54,000 - $75,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $50,000 - $60,000
- State of Maryland: $47,000 - $59,000
- State of Massachusetts: $57,000 - $79,000
- State of Minnesota: $48,000 - $60,000
- State of New York: $55,000 - $66,000

In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses based on individual and firm performance.
