Job Title: Paralegal (Litigation)
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing, planning, and calendaring conference calls, meetings, and deadlines, as well as interfacing with clients.
- Schedule consultations, appointments, and depositions.
- Possess knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures.
- Manage cases extensively through document review applications such as Eclipse and iManage.
- Process electronically stored information (ESI).
- Prepare, revise, proofread, and redline legal documents.
- Analyze data using tools like Excel.
- Prepare, organize, and summarize discovery materials.
- Prepare certain motion documents and other correspondence.
- Draft declarations and maintain discovery and records logs.
- Organize and summarize voluminous documents, including preparing chronologies of medical records and summarizing deposition transcripts.
- Prepare and manage subpoenas.
- Prepare correspondence, client communications, engagement letters, conflict waivers, and run conflicts reports.
- Track certified mailings and overnight deliveries.
- Perform administrative support functions such as opening, stamping, and scanning documents into the document management system, emailing documents to clients, maintaining and updating electronic and physical files, preparing and submitting check requests, processing invoices, and scheduling conference rooms.
- Conduct routine telephone calls with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks, and court reporters.
- Prepare pleadings for court filing (State and Federal) and service.
- Electronically file/serve documents.
- Prepare exhibit binders and hearing/trial binders for attorneys.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediation, and trials.
- Possess knowledge of medical terminology and billing.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
- Minimum of five years of litigation paralegal and secretarial experience, with Trusts & Estates experience highly preferred.
- Strong system skills in document management systems and digital filing.
- Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Word, DocuSign, and Excel.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact well with clients, vendors, and coworkers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary Information:
- Anticipated Base Salary: $80, - $100, per year.
