Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post-trial.
- Conduct legal research and gather pertinent information relevant to cases.
- Draft and file legal documents including briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, and contracts.
- Organize and manage documents, including the creation of spreadsheets and retrieval systems.
- Assist in preparing for trial by organizing exhibits and assisting with witness preparation.
- Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimony.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the legal team.
Education and Experience Information:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field is typically required.
- Paralegal certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience as a paralegal in a litigation environment is highly desirable.
- Strong research and writing skills are essential.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and litigation support software.
