Job Responsibilities
As a Transactions Assistant - Corporate at the law firm, the primary responsibilities include supporting paralegals and attorneys by maintaining and organizing files, handling audit letters, preparing documents, updating and maintaining databases, preparing closing books, obtaining information from internal and external sources, and performing other administrative tasks. Specific duties include:
- Reviewing and handling audit letters for various offices.
- Obtaining information from accounting, timekeeping, and attorneys for audit letter responses.
- Confirming receipt of requested audit letters.
- Searching for client numbers and Billing Partners.
- Generating surveys and billing/accounting reports to obtain AR and WIP amounts.
- Generating conflicts reports.
- Checking with Responsible Partner regarding inclusion of other clients/subsidiaries.
- Drafting letters on firm-appointed letterhead.
- Organizing documents for attorney review.
- Researching public records using internal and public websites.
- Assisting with preparing binders, closing books, making copies, entering data, and maintaining files.
- Performing database research and data entry.
- Assisting with corporate closings.
- Obtaining documents and other information from governmental or public agencies.
- Assisting paralegals and attorneys with mailings and filings.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Education
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Certificates
- Paralegal certificate preferred.

Minimum Years of Experience
- At least 1 year of demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills
- Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and database experience.
- Office experience in a law firm environment supporting paralegals and/or attorneys is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with paralegals, attorneys, and clients regularly.
- Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills for managing volumes of documents, binders, letters, charts, etc.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines.

Salary Information
The expected hiring range for this position at the law firm is – per hour, depending on the candidate’s geographic market location. Non-exempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and will receive overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws. Compensation is also dependent on factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. A comprehensive package of benefits is offered, including medical/dental/vision insurance and a 401(k) plan.

The position offers a hybrid work schedule, with the option to work remotely and in-office, determined in coordination with the hiring manager or supervisor.
