Law Firm is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Corporate M&A Private Equity Associate for their prestigious Am Law 100 firm. This role requires a minimum of 3-7 years of transactional experience in M&A and private equity, preferably in an Am Law firm. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and analytical skills, a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school, and bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in their resident office jurisdiction.
This position offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and the opportunity to work with a top-rated law firm in the corporate sector. The preferred location for this role is in the Miami office, but the firm is open to considering candidates in other locations such as Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Florida, Dallas, Houston, New York, or Washington, DC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with M&A and private equity transactions, including drafting and reviewing transactional documents, conducting due diligence, and providing legal advice and support to clients
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various corporate matters and prepare memoranda and other legal documents
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop strategies and negotiate deals
- Participate in client meetings and calls, and attend and assist with closings
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in laws and regulations related to corporate and M&A transactions
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in the jurisdiction of resident office location
- 3-7 years of experience in M&A and private equity transactions, preferably in an Am Law firm
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
