Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
The Quality Assurance Engineer at a law firm is tasked with ensuring the highest standards of excellence and operational coherence in the business' software systems. Under the direct supervision of the QA Manager, the engineer leads the development of test approaches, estimates, and plans for complex integrated systems. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing input on functional requirements and advising on the design and configuration of client software applications.
- Ensuring delivery of testable and traceable requirements and applying appropriate testing techniques for comprehensive end-to-end black box testing.
- Leading user story and test case development, as well as test execution.
- Designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining test artifacts for functional, integration, system, and acceptance testing.
- Creating test plans that outline test approach and risk mitigation.
- Preparing and possibly overseeing the preparation of test data and readiness of test environment prior to test execution.
- Analyzing test results to identify defects, errors, and configuration issues, and advising on the severity of these issues.
- Performing defect triage, assessing potential impact and resolution, and providing sufficient details for the development team to address issues.
- Publishing and communicating effective test metrics to enable decision-making around quality.
- Making recommendations regarding delivery quality and influencing business implementation decisions.
- Coordinating with team members on-site, off-site, and off-shore.

Proficiencies:
The Quality Assurance Engineer demonstrates intermediate knowledge of the following processes, tools, or applications:

- Quality Assurance best practices.
- Test Case/Script Design and Implementation.
- Microsoft Suite and legal software applications (preferred).
- Business Applications such as Microsoft Suite, including Visio, Project, etc.
- Strong communication, organization, negotiation, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
- Exceptional customer service and collaboration abilities.

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 3+ years of QA experience supporting large, critical business applications.
- 3+ years of QA experience with Test and Issue Management Tools.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques.
- Experience working within Agile & Waterfall Environments.
- Proficiency in creating and executing SQL Queries involving multiple tables, join statements, and stored procedures.
- Familiarity with API Testing Methods (Post, Put, Get, Delete).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that non-technical end users can understand.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must be highly effective within a collaborative environment.
- Experience leading teams of peers and partners.

Salary Information:
The salary wage range for the Quality Assurance Engineer position is expected to be between $92,900 and $118,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
