Job Title: Senior Collaboration Engineer (Microsoft 365 & SharePoint Solutions Developer)

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Collaboration Engineer at the law firm is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying transformative solutions across the Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems. Key responsibilities include:

- Defining, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs related to technology solutions.
- Gathering requirements and guiding end users to mutually beneficial solutions for the firm and clients.
- Making recommendations to management on modifications, enhancements, replacements, and improvements to the firm's web and portal applications.
- Providing primary maintenance, upgrades, and development for the firm's web and portal applications.
- Acting as a technical lead for troubleshooting web and portal applications and related integrated applications.
- Collaborating with staff to develop and maintain standard practices and metrics related to site design, programming, and business systems analysis.
- Sharing knowledge with co-workers and ensuring appropriate knowledge transfer for coverage purposes.
- Providing quality assurance, testing, and documentation for web and portal applications.
- Managing basic project management functions including project scoping, task scheduling, resource recommendations, and skill alignment.
- Meeting with vendors to discuss software product issues and maintain current knowledge of the latest developments in software technology.
- Coordinating with Systems and Applications personnel on issues related to the deployment of the firm's web and portal applications.
- Responding to user issues routed by Help Desk Analysts related to assigned applications and providing feedback regarding solutions to identified issues.
- Assisting Help Desk Analysts and firm users after normal business hours, including periodic pager duty rotation.
- Performing other duties as coordinated or assigned by management personnel.

Technical Skill Requirements:

- Building enterprise-level intranet and collaboration solutions on SharePoint Online using out-of-the-box features and custom code through the SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
- Developing Office 365 applications and solutions, including Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, and SharePoint Online.
- Creating end-to-end workflows and integrations using Power Automate, Nintex, K2, or other workflow technologies, incorporating services when necessary.
- Leading data migration initiatives from legacy systems to SharePoint Online or Microsoft 365, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Developing rich UI components with React, Redux, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, integrating with SharePoint APIs and third-party services as needed.
- Using tools such as ShareGate or Microsoft SharePoint Migration Tool for content and site migrations.
- Architecting and implementing Azure services such as Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Event Grid, and AI Builder to extend SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
- Developing custom solutions and APIs with Core (C#), Blazor, and to deliver high-performing, scalable applications.

Education and Experience Information:

- A Bachelor's degree with major coursework in a related field or a combination of education and commensurate work experience is required.
- Trade training is preferred.
- Five years of relevant experience is required, preferably in a professional services environment.
- A minimum of three years of experience in web development, including JavaScript, front-end frameworks (React, Angular), HTML5, CSS, JSON, and or equivalent scripting language for building cloud-based applications.
- Experience in building Office 365-connected solutions, including Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Power BI, and SharePoint Online.
- Proficiency in Core, C#, Blazor, , , SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React, and PowerShell.
- Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, TFS, or other source control management tools.
- Solid understanding of relational database development and SQL experience.
- Experience with Azure resources such as Azure functions, Azure logic apps, and Azure SQL DB.
- Experience in applying software development lifecycle using Microsoft technologies.
- High-level understanding of Active Directory, AD security, TCP/IP, DNS, Load balancers, Firewall, and SMTP.
- Legal practice/process experience is a plus.

Salary Information:

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

- State of California: $110,000 - $211,000
- State of Colorado: $102,000 - $182,000
- State of Illinois: $100,000 - $194,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $120,000 - $218,000
- State of Maryland: $107,000 - $163,000
- State of Massachusetts: $111,000 - $211,000
- State of Minnesota: $111,000 - $183,000
- State of New York: $103,000 - $223,000
- State of Washington: $107,000 - $204,000
- Washington, .: $143,000 - $210,000

The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however, bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed and dependent upon individual and firm performance.
