Bilingual Immigration Paralegal/ Legal Assistant The candidate's duties include interaction with clients; prepare or file online all USCIS forms and draft supporting legal letters for all types of visas/applications/petitions; experience in immigration is necessary. Assisting and supporting attorney in the preparation and filing of immigration applications, including immigrant visa petitions, applications for permanent residency, naturalization applications, asylum applications, U visa applications for victims of crime, waivers of inadmissibility for extreme hardship, and petitions for lawful permanent resident status under the Violence Against Women Act; Assisting and supporting attorney in caseload management and client communications; Assisting attorney with gathering evidence, preparing declarations and supporting documents, preparing evidence and exhibits, and complying with procedural requirements and filing deadlines for cases in the Immigration Court. Assisting and supporting attorney in obtaining civil and criminal court records for both immigration matters. Assisting with the phones when needed and keep record of calls and follow up. Other duties as assigned. Desired experience: 2 years of immigration experience. Required language: Spanish (you need to speak, read and write Spanish). Great communication skills; good writing skills; knowledge in Word, and other common computer programs necessary. Familiarity with Quickbooks a plus. Must speak Spanish. Cerenade experience a plus.
