Key Responsibilities:
- Practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and state of New Jersey in state and federal courts
- Manage multiple case files successfully in a busy environment
- Demonstrate strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with superb organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to handle a substantial caseload of litigation
- Draft, prepare and handle pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda
- Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions
- Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency
- Prepare and take depositions of parties and experts
- Review client documents, draft case evaluations, and status report correspondence
- Assist with and participate in mediations and court appearances
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil litigation defense
- Broad experience in insurance defense is a plus
- Experience in personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, employment, banking, and automobile cases is a plus
- Must be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, additional state admissions is a plus
- Strong knowledge of both state and federal court procedures
