Job Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our Residential Portfolio Management (RPM) division. The Operations Manager will be responsible for driving client satisfaction, improving department productivity, efficiency, and profitability, and ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, landlord/tenant evictions, resident defaults/disputes, process improvement, and a proven track record of success in managing a SFR, Multi-family, and/or Student Housing legal practice.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor the workflow and processes of the RPM department. Demonstrate effective process management skills and implement changes to meet unique client objectives.
- Review financial statements and data; use this information to improve departmental profitability.
- Formulate and implement policies and procedures that maximize output. Improve processes to support organizational goals and ensure adherence to regulations and procedures.
- Plan staffing needs, oversee recruitment, organize team structure, delegate tasks, and establish work schedules. Supervise, monitor, and evaluate staff performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and operational risk management processes, following client requirements and firm standards.
- Monitor team performance and implement necessary improvements. Ensure high-quality file reviews and identify opportunities to improve service levels and reduce costs.
- Enhance the efficiency of support services such as IT, vendor relationships, outsourcing, and other opportunities to the benefit of our clients. Facilitate effective communication between departments and functions.
- Work closely with top management to develop and implement strategic plans for operational activities that facilitate new business, client retention, and client growth/expansion.

Education and Experience Information
Position Requirements:
- College degree in business administration, commerce, management, communications, legal services, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience managing operations, workflows, teams, and legal practice.
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness, operations management, and business principles.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access) and other relevant IT tools.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
- Excellent planning, organizing, and communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence teams.
