Job Title: Litigation Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Generate and finalize correspondence, and various legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
- Problem solve, think independently, and undertake projects with minimum supervision in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with attorney/paralegal team to produce high-quality work.
- Work effectively and professionally with both internal and external clients at all levels.
- Assist with scheduling hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Work in a team environment.
- Coordinate meetings and travel arrangements.
- Handle processing of invoices and expenses.
- Manage electronic filings with various courts.
- Perform other duties in compliance with Standards of Quality for Legal Assistant.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in litigation.
- Ability to problem-solve, think independently, and undertake projects with minimum supervision in a timely and efficient manner.
- Proficient in proofreading materials for contextual, grammatical, typographic, or spelling errors.
- Ability to transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and reports at a minimum level of 70 wpm.
- Strong litigation skills with solid knowledge of court procedures and e-filings.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Suite Products.
- Interpersonal skills to work with other members in a positive, teamwork environment to service clients.
- A 2-Year Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies is preferred or a related business degree.
Salary Information:
- Salary range of $60,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience.
