Job Title: Workers' Compensation Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:

The Workers' Compensation Paralegal at the law firm is tasked with various responsibilities that are crucial to the effective functioning of the Workers’ Compensation practice group. These duties include:

- Meeting with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects, ensuring clear communication and understanding of case requirements.
- Drafting legal documents, including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories, and ensuring these are filed in accordance with judicial procedures.
- Conducting thorough research and analysis of statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources to provide well-founded written analyses to attorneys.
- Interviewing clients and witnesses, preparing detailed summaries of their statements to support case development.
- Preparing, organizing, storing, and retrieving case files, which may encompass evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other relevant items.
- Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings to provide on-the-spot support and ensure smooth proceedings.
- Developing and maintaining accurate records of billable hours spent on specific cases, which is essential for client billing and internal tracking.
- Performing other related duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the law firm.

Education and Experience Information:

The position requires a candidate who possesses strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The paralegal must have:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear and effective communication with clients, attorneys, and other professionals.
