Job Title: Tax Manager - Private Wealth

Job Responsibilities:

As a Tax Manager in the Private Wealth Tax practice, the candidate will be responsible for various high-level tasks and projects. Key responsibilities include:

- Performing high-level reviews of tax research concerning individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift work papers and tax returns.
- Preparing and leading client meetings focused on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of transactions for the client.
- Training, mentoring, and supervising new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors.
- Taking on lead client-contact roles, managing billing, and conducting profitability analysis on engagements.
- Involvement in marketplace eminence building and pursuits.

Education and Experience Information:

- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, with at least 3 years in investment management, is necessary.
- One of the following accreditations is required:
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible, a licensed attorney or an Enrolled Agent.
- Certifications such as Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) are acceptable.
- Experience in reviewing partnership and/or trust documents.
- Experience in managing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
- Excellent research and writing skills are expected.

Preferred qualifications include:

- An advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM.
- Prior experience with a Big 4 or large CPA firm.
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting.

Salary Information:

The wage range for this role reflects a broad spectrum of factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business needs. The disclosed range estimate is $93,660 to $213,200. It is noted that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions are based on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Additionally, there is potential eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. An award, if any, depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Additional Information:

The position requires the ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, necessitating US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week. The role may also involve traveling up to 25%, on average, based on the work and clients served.
