Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: The candidate will understand OR/WA state and local court rules, guidelines, and case workflow processes. Manage a large volume of matters and deadlines. Detail-oriented, organized, and motivated. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Draft, review, and revise correspondence, documents, and pleadings. Legal research, including checking citations. Type at least 50+ wpm, 10-key. Technological competencies in general computer programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel, with Prolaw experience, preferred. FDCPA familiarity (training/testing required).
Qualifications: The candidate should have a certificate of completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program, with a recommended minimum of two years of experience in a law firm. Certificate of completion of a paralegal program at or a degree from a post-secondary institution that requires the successful completion of a minimum of 24 semesters or equivalent units in law-related courses and that has been accredited by a national or regional accrediting organization, with a recommended minimum of two years of experience in a law firm. A baccalaureate or advanced degree in any subject, with a minimum of two years of experience in a law firm. HOA law firm and collections experience is a plus.
