Job Title: Experienced Immigration Paralegal
Job Category: Paralegals
Experience: 3-5 years of employment-based immigration experience
Location: Various Firm Locations (Chattanooga, TN; Nashville, TN; Atlanta, GA; Ft. Lauderdale, FL)
Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of labor certification applications
- Filing a variety of business immigration documents with both consular posts and USCIS
- Substantial writing and research for EB-1 petitions, H-1Bs, and waiver applications
- Assisting attorney with determining case strategy
- Managing a large volume of clients and tracking filing status
- Gathering relevant documentation from clients
- Reviewing extensive case documentation
- Assisting with legal research
- Assembling and organizing filings with the government
- Drafting legal correspondence to the government and clients for attorney review
- Preparing forms for government agencies
- Maintaining fully paperless file copies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program
- 3-5 years of employment-based immigration experience
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work directly with foreign nationals
- Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems
- Flexible and able to handle multiple projects at once
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
