Job Title: Senior Counsel, Regulatory
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on . federal and international regulatory regimes relevant to aerospace and defense industries.
- Work within the Company's Regulatory Compliance team, addressing government contracting requirements, national security reviews, cybersecurity frameworks, and export controls.
- Implement a risk management process for government contracts compliance for the Company's lines of business.
- Develop and implement internal risk management and compliance programs focused on trade controls, procurement integrity, and security requirements.
- Collaborate with the Company's Trade Compliance function to maintain an effective export compliance program under ITAR and EAR, including drafting compliance policies and procedures and administering training.
- Support the negotiation of and compliance with commercial and government contracts.
- Interface with federal and state government regulators and customers.
- Address legal challenges and mitigate risks related to various regulatory regimes, including national security and cybersecurity.
Education and Experience Information:
- Law degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law.
- At least 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, either with a large law firm or in-house.
- Experience in analyzing and negotiating complex commercial and government contracts.
- Experience in government cybersecurity requirements and data privacy regulations.
- Capability to receive a federal security clearance at the highest level issued to the Company.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience managing corporate compliance programs.
- Legal experience in export control matters.
- Legal experience negotiating customer contracts, both commercial and government.
- Experience working in or with the aerospace industry.
Salary Information:
- The hiring range is $189,000 - $241,000 USD.
- Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
