Job Responsibilities:
The Paralegal is tasked with investigating and researching facts, as well as preparing documents to assist and support their designated attorney. Essential to this role is the accurate management of cases and maintaining timely communication with clients and attorneys.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Case Management:
- Obtain, review, and organize medical records and billing information
- Maintain electronic case files
- Conduct insurance coverage investigation
- Prepare, calculate, and maintain damage summaries, including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage
- Log daily mail
- Prepare and forward medical records to insurance carriers
- Draft correspondence necessary for case management
- Balance verifications and assist with subrogation lien resolution
- Prepare check requests, maintain check records, and mail checks
- Assist attorney with settlement documentation and disbursements
- Prepare disbursement summaries
- Prepare file for litigation transfer when necessary

Communication:
- Consistent and regular communication with clients regarding case status
- Draft correspondence, settlement agreements, promissory notes, subpoenas, and other related documents as necessary and assigned
- Provide weekly reports
- Participate in monthly team meetings

Other Responsibilities:
- Provide support for other team members in their absence
- Meet or exceed goals
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Information:

- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required (College Degree preferred)
- Three to five years’ experience in a legal setting
- Paralegal certificate is preferred

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledgeable in legal practices and procedures and business practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and time management skills
- High command of English grammar, usage, punctuation, and spelling
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet timelines, maintain a professional demeanor, and adapt to changing priorities efficiently
