Additionally, the Billing Specialist performs advanced billing functions for alternate fee arrangements such as flat fee, fixed fee by task, and interim billing. This includes managing multi-payor and split billing, as well as the application of retainers and unallocated payments. The specialist provides excellent service by responding to billing questions and issues, offering advice to the legal team regarding the billing and management of complex fee arrangements.

The specialist manages the electronic invoice submission process, tracks the status of electronic invoices from submission to acceptance, and identifies, researches, and troubleshoots rejected invoices and other issues. However, applicable work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. The candidate should have at least 2+ years of experience in law firm billing, with a preference for those with advanced eBilling experience.
