Job Title: Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Case & Deadline Management: Track and manage deadlines for hearings, filings, motions, objections, and trials, ensuring compliance with court rules and local procedures.
- Legal Document Preparation & Research: Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs. Conduct legal research to support case strategies. Prepare and organize case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Client & Court Communication: Manage correspondence with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings for attorneys.
- Administrative & Case Management Support: Proofread legal documents for accuracy and clarity. Assist in drafting contracts and legal agreements. Utilize legal case management software to track case progress and deadlines.
Education and Experience Information:
- Education: An Associate degree or Paralegal Studies certificate is required.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in Personal Injury law.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and research tools like Westlaw.
- Attention to Detail: Strong proofreading and transcription skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Information:
