Law Firm Seeking OGC Analyst for Conflicts and Laterals in Major US Cities
Latham & Watkins, a top global law firm, is looking for a skilled OGC Analyst to join their Office of the General Counsel team. This role will focus on analyzing and addressing conflicts reports for incoming lateral candidates, including partners, counsel, associates, trainees, and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of conflicts checks and be able to effectively collaborate with attorneys and other staff members. This position is available in Boston, New York, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington, . and offers a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities include:
- Administering conflicts review for all lateral attorney candidates
- Obtaining guidance from attorneys or other Conflicts staff to properly evaluate conflicts checks in different jurisdictions
- Analyzing conflicts reports and communicating follow-up questions to attorneys or suggesting Ethics Committee action
- Preparing summaries of conflicts report analysis and resolution for sponsoring attorneys and recruiting departments
- Collaborating with OGC leadership to prioritize and manage work efficiently
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
Qualifications include:
- Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to develop alternative strategies
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, management, and outside contacts
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a law firm or professional services firm
- Experience with Intapp Open software preferred
