Job Title:
Legal Assistant II - Employment Law

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in case management, including organizing and maintaining legal documents, pleadings, and discovery materials.
- Prepare legal filings, discovery material, trial exhibits, summaries, and case chronologies via Smartsheet.
- Assist human resource and legal team in factual investigations, gather case-related documentation, and communicate with clients and outside counsel.
- Support attorneys in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials by preparing case materials.
- Maintain schedules and calendars, track critical deadlines, and maintain case schedules, ensuring attorneys are informed of upcoming dates.
- Perform legal research.
- Intake, review, redact, and produce documents for all subpoena and verification of employment/income requests.
- Assist in drafting and proofreading legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and workplace policies.
- Support compliance team in tracking, auditing, and deployment of compliance program.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- This position requires a minimum of two years’ experience of legal administrative experience.
- Associate’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field. Paralegal certification is a plus.
- Excellent telephone etiquette, data entry, typing, copying, faxing, filing, and scheduling skills are required.
- Intermediate level computer experience, including skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, is required.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and court rules.
- Smartsheet skills a plus.
- Customer service skills, including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude, is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor, and work well independently is essential.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
