Modern Family Law, a boutique law firm specializing in Family Law, is seeking a Senior Attorney to handle diverse cases and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients in the California Bay Area. This is a primarily remote position, with in-person attendance required for court appearances and client meetings.

Position Description:
- Handle a variety of family law cases, including divorce, custody, support, and property division matters
- Represent clients in court and make all in-court appearances as required
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs to support client cases
- Meet with clients in-office when requested and provide them with timely legal advice and updates on case status
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective case handling
- Attend mediation and settlement conferences to negotiate favorable outcomes for clients
- Maintain excellent communication with clients to build trust and support them throughout the legal process
- Stay up to date with legal developments and trends in family law to provide effective representation
- Other duties and projects as assigned

Position Requirements:
- Capability to work from home with reliable internet and a suitable workstation during normal business hours
- 4+ years of experience in family law
- Active admission to the California State Bar and in good standing
- Exceptional writing skills demonstrated through writing samples
- Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues to clients
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
- Client-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional experiences
- Strong references attesting to expertise and professionalism

Skills and Competencies:
- Professional and effective communication with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel
- Ability to handle a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and property division
- Ability to balance multiple cases simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality work
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and legal deadlines
- High attention to detail and proactive approach to resolving client issues and managing caseloads
- Ability to work under pressure, especially during trial preparation or tight court schedules
- Strong negotiation and mediation skills to advocate for clients in settlement discussions
- Willingness to work evenings or weekends when necessary to handle urgent matters or meet deadlines
